Polite, friendly, say 'yes sir,' 'no ma'am'

Post by MrMan »

I've spent some time recently in the southern US recently, near a small city/large town, not one of those big cities that is overrun by Yankees like Houston or Atlanta.

People tend to be generally friendly and if I asked a question, they answer with 'Yes, sir', especially young people.

I do not see the unfriendly scowls. I've seen that from people elsewhere in the US, but it is not common here at all.
