Lame New Years Eve Plan

Post by Cornfed »

My plan is to gather with a group of neighbours, drink a lot of beer, wear wrap-abound sunglasses in a vantage point above a women’s locker room (not by pre-planned design, but because we just happen to live here) and discuss topics such as life, the Universe and the relative merits of the asses of females from different parts of the world. Yeah I know, but it is less lame than most of the other New Years Eves I’ve spent. The wogs that have taken over the local liquor store even gave me a big bottle of quality beer for free to start on. I hope you all have less lame plans for the New Year. Happy New Year.

Do any of you hate that song "Auld Lang Syne" that's always played on New Year's Eve too? It's so cliched and mediocre and way overplayed. The melody is lame too. Don't you guys get sick of hearing it every year? It also implies that the year contained wonderful memories that you are fond of, which is not true for most Americans.

I like that song. Good old Robbie.

It depends how such songs are presented to the listener.
This is Ji-Hae Park in South Korea, who has superb knowledge how to play a violine.

Personally I find melodies like 'Jingle Bells' etc. terribly disturbing here in Japan, in every department store you can hear this intrusive music, a reason for me to avoid any shopping during Christmas/NewYear.

The weather today was great. There was an unseasonal torrential downpour which soaked to the bone all the morons who made a tent city down by the river and disturbed my peace of mind. Even if they were leaving anyway, God thought it was important that they were wet and miserable, as it should be. It is a great start to the new year.
