Thoughts on InterPals?

Hi everyone, I am new to the Happier Abroad forum. I am looking for foreign women to date and eventually marry, and am trying to decide what country to focus on. I will be in communication with Mexican women fairly soon, but I am also thinking of trying to date in Eastern Europe or Asia. I am thinking of using an international pen pals website such as InterPals to communicate with with women from different countries in a purely platonic context. That way, I can get a better sense of what the women are like in different countries, both in terms of their personalities and how many common interests they share with me. That way, I can focus on the country with women that are the most compatible with me when I use a dating site. However, I have heard negative things about InterPals, mostly from women who complain that they receive sexually explicit messages from men, but also from men who complain that many of the profiles are fake and that they rarely get a response when they send a message to someone. Has anyone used InterPals before, and if so, what has your experience been like?

I think it depends on your demographic.
I'm an Asian male in Canada and tried to chat with and befriend Asian girls in Asia. They ignored me. No messages, no views. I got so lonely that I had extended convos with some of the scammers.

I signed up on there a while ago, didn't talk to too many people and didn't think too much of it. Then I signed up again, and ended up talking to quite a few people. I am now talking to a nice girl from Peru that I met on there. Go for it and see...you never know what will happen.
