Yahoo Censorship

Post by Tsar »

I am sure Yahoo now censors the word "Nazi" on their Yahoo Finance section. More censorship.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/u-house-s ... 07899.html

Here's a comment some random person posted on the article:
For those, including me, that are disgusted with Boehner, don't cheer yet - we need to know how much stronger those 40 anarchist GOP Congressman become with the next Speaker. We could have the most dangerous, shut-the-country-down Congress since the #$%$ Party crippled the Weimar Government's legislature then burned down the Reichstag.
Notice this sentence and the censored four-letter word. The only word it could be is Nazi based on the context of the sentence and what is being described.

Internet censorship is not only with Yahoo, but with other media as well. For example 'dailymail.co.uk', if you write comments, even perfectly polite written, maybe one out of three might appear. This does not mean it will be there forever, because any not politically correct opinion will be 'reported' by feminists or similar activists, and automatically removed. Many other media will not even permit follow-up comments.

There is no real free speech existing in Western countries. Your opinion might be considered as hate-speech if it is something against women, against immigrants (regardless their race), against strict education of children, against some certain religions, etc. and will be quickly deleted - often censorship in Western countries is worse than those of Arab, Chinese and Russian media.

Yahoo isn't the only one engaged in online censorship. Also, YouTube (which is owned by Google) is now turning up it's censorship as well. Please check out these three links:

Worse? In the West they erase the message. In those other places they erase the messenger.
Criticize U.S. president == you may join Rush Limbaugh.
Criticize Russian president == you may join Boris Nemtsov.

There isn't any reason for people to criticize Vladimir Putin. He is standing up to the West and bringing a revival of Russia. He refuses to be an American puppet and allow Russia to become an enslaved Vassal nation. He is one of the greatest leaders in current history. He might not be perfect but he's a great leader. Don't criticize an authoritarian leader (monarch, dictator, etc) is an automatic rule to follow.

Who cares about the freedom to criticize a leader when for most of history leaders could be deposed by revolution. Only today is it considered a great freedom to criticize a leader. I consider it to be a lower level freedom. Besides, criticizing a leader won't change the system or accomplish anything.
