Interesting, although I would not say I left them behind. I never felt any particular kinship with black women, to include my mother and sister who were quite objectionable. Ironically, my mother insisted on sending me to private schools where the teachers were all white women, and 95% of the students were white.

I therefore became aware early that black “queens” were a virtual enemy within the gates. This became even more clear as an adult when I noticed successive black women militating against black male progress in the workplace out of status envy.

At the point I understood that it was black women over all others who were most threatened by my progress, that was all I needed to see.

Keep in mind that black women have an interest in keeping black men controlled and beneath them because successful black men pose too great a threat to refuse mistreatment and to flee to your aforementioned greener pastures.

I thought I was the only one on this board whom been to a predominantly-almost-completely WASP private school. The education you get out of there is priceless (no pun intended because it's costly financially but so worth it!!!!). NYC public HS's were beyond messy in the 80s and early 90s, so I commuted 5 days a week to private school upstate from The Bronx. Tiring very tiring! During my adolescent summers, I would stay at our summer home in Orange Cty, NY (not Orange County, California). The summer home was still far from the HS I went to upstate NY so that's why I didn't commute from the summer home. I went to one of the best private HS's in NY, and it kept me in Regents' which was the Avant-Garde award of scholastics at the time. I guess they don't exist in Cali nor NY anymore or at least not at its magnitude of greatness anymore.
