What are your long term plans?

Just wondering what everyone's long-term plans are? 5-10-20 years out.

Mine are to continue working until 50, after when the kids will be out on there own. By that point my house should be paid off and I should have a nice stash saved up from years of working. After that, either retire to a low COL country (China or Thailand, per my mainland Chinese wife) or switch to easy part time work and spend 1/2 the year in the US and 1/2 the year outside of the US, relaxing as much as possible.

Would love to travel as much as possible before then, but the childcare situation + the cost of overseas trips + not much vacation time at work makes it difficult.

My plan is to retire in Thailand/Malaysia/Philippines at 45, and if my savings rate stays consistent along with a conservative rise in the stock market, it should be doable.

Plans always change of course. My parents are getting older and if they fall into bad health, I'll stay here to take care of them until they pass.

In the meantime, I'll continue taking annual trips overseas. I always cheap out on lodging and never rent a car, so it really isn't that expensive.

When I actually move to Thailand/Malaysia/Philippines, I'll live in a dirt cheap apartment with no AC and spend the rest of my days exploring the countryside and taking a couple of long trips per year to Japan/Korea/Singapore/China and maybe visiting Europe every few years. Airfare will be less to visit Asian destinations as I will already be in that area.

Basic plans:

-Never buy a house, only rent. That way I can remain mobile and free to move around.
-No kids, it's too much attachment and burden. With kids you have to stay in one place for 18 years.
-work on developing passive income online, keep working on online work
-basically just enjoy life

I think I am done with cubicle life, so will carry on teaching for a while.

I should think about a retirement base. Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines all have good visa programs. Penang in Malaysia is worth a look, I will check it out some time.

I worked out my UK apartment is now a serious cash cow. I get rental income and I can invest that income to make even more income.

I plan to stay in Mexico the rest of my life and not go back to the States, raise my future kids in a more traditional environment away from the modern world.

I am just going to keep on going. I'm just waiting to see where God will take me, and what wonders He will work, if any, to hold me up. So far, so good.

As for particular plans, I wouldn't disclose any of that information.

Continued perpetual travel with yearly breaks in South Florida for medical appointments and new clothes shopping. My pace is a changing countries every month, but that will slow as I get older.

The plan is to keep doing this as long as I am healthy enough to do so.

Death is 3 decades or more away but will hopefully come on an airplane in first class after eating a wonderful meal.

Penang is f***ing beautiful. Beach city and a really chilled, laid back vibe. They also have a lot of very good apartment high-rises in gated communities and I believe they are pretty affordable.

Penang is affordable as hell. I had a super delicious meal there for about the equivalent of $1. I had a super delicious meal in Bangkok for about the equivalent of $2 so Penang wins. Yes, rent is hella cheap too.

I remember going to an outdoor market that had like 50 different food stalls set up under a massive canopy, and lots of tables too. Pretty much everythin you could want was there, asian food, western food, indian food, pretty nice and i remember it was cheap as shit too, like 1.50 dollars for a full meal.

Just trying to make more money I guess and to handle being incel alone in the years to come. I had dreamed about visiting Europe and other countries but now the news makes it seem the whole world has turned into some kind of system failing nightmare. I'm not really interested in visiting or moving to se asian countries.
