I would add The Gambia to the list, especially now that there is a new more moderate president replacing the former guy of over 20 years.Zambales wrote:Interesting article about some of the less talked about countries that are affordable to live in. Some positive - great weather (not too hot much of year but warm), wonderful beaches, easy flight access to a few Euro countries, very cheap living cost, English language, safe, proximity to several interesting and varied W. African countries.

Gambia has been quite a popular holiday destination in the past. I would go for a vacation, but it's not the sort of country I would consider living. Actually, nowhere in Africa appeals to me in that sense.

Why is that? Where in the world would you consider besides where you are now?Zambales wrote:Gambia has been quite a popular holiday destination in the past. I would go for a vacation, but it's not the sort of country I would consider living. Actually, nowhere in Africa appeals to me in that sense.

The Philippines, because I know it well. Perhaps even Guangzhou in China. Hong Kong and Singapore would be considered but both are expensive places to live in.Rock wrote:Why is that?
