A 'Porener' and his Money are Soon Parted.

A lot of poreners complain about cultural differences between a 'porener' and a Pinay, without realizing that these are mostly social class differences.
Many 'poreners' date and marry people of peasant and working classes by whose "friendliness" they become pretty much entrapped. These have completely different attitudes towards family( the more kids the better), towards money ( must be immediately shared with family, friends, and relatives) and towards telling the truth( it is OK to lie in order to survive).
Middle to upper class Filipinos do not befriend, date or marry peasant/fisherman and working classes precisely because of the differences in values and behavior - because of the class gap.
An urban, professional Filipino will not have nine kids, will not share money with some huge extended family and will not get too close to the more communal worker/peasant culture. If he does, they will clean him up. Not through robbery, but thru sharing and ' borrowing'.
Many middle class and rich Filipinos keep to themselves, and often live behind thick walls with glass shards and barbed wire to protect them. They marry people of the same educational background or class. They only trust those in their small inner circle. Because they know that if they start getting friendly with the poor, their money will soon be gone and they will become poor, too.
Enter the bleeding heart 'porener'. He is taught in his Western culture to be nice to poor people and to be nice to non white people. He feels guilty because of his country's treatment of its colonies. He is all smiles and all friendliness. And he does not care about class and education.
As such he often ( not always) becomes a target of people who are in the survival mode and who need to feed many kids, or of women who are expected to send money home every month or those naive locals that think that he has unlimited money.
He helps and helps, and he is nice, but he gets ripped off. When he tries to use logic, he understand that because of differences in the levels of education, his way to reconcile with such people will not work. They are never wrong because they are trying to survive and he is always wrong because he is a rich 'porener'.
If you have found an honest peasant or working class girl, good for you. If you have found an educated upper class girl, again good for you. Then this post is not about you. But those men who trust too much the people who are in a survival mode, run an especially increased risk of getting used.
