What does cornfed mean in New Zealand? Does it mean wheat or maize?

This information makes me understand Cornfed less. There are hardly any black people there to hate.

I spent a bit of time with a New Zealand colleague a few years ago. He said they were in great need of 'builders'-- I assume he means construction workers and they were accepting immigrants with these skills. If Cornfed were up to it physically, he could learn to be a construction worker.
