Selling Gold In The Philippines

Post by Taco »

I sold a gold coin in the Philippines a few weeks ago and received 62,000 pesos or about $1240 US for it. The amount you get for your gold depends on where you sell it and the purity of it. I sold mine at Cebuana L Huillier pawnshop its nation wide and has a good reputation. I was very pleased with the service and I would do business with them again although I did not get spot price for it. The coin is worth about 70,000 pesos. You need to show your passport and fill out some minimal paperwork. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. They did scratch the surface of my coin to see if it was solid gold.

I did take my coin to another pawnshop and they refused to buy it. I assume because they thought it was fake. It wasn't.

They have an appraisal function on their website you can use.
