Why is management so stupid?

My impression of management in the industries I have been exposed to is that no-one has a clue what they want or what they are talking about. No-one is capable of even an iota of constructive human thought. What they propose to people doing the actual work is not just stupid but giftedly stupid, in the sense that you would be hard pushed to come up with a more idiotic and damaging way of doing things if you really tried. The only reason their organizations don't collapse immediately is that some competent low-level men in their employ feel the need to disobey their orders out of sheer embarrassment at the thought of doing such stupid shit. It may all ultimately be a conspiracy, but all lower/middle managers seem to share this mindset for no apparent reason. Very strange.

The author is a woman who actually believes in the system, which is what makes the book so valuable, that she has no agenda and is just telling it like it is. She doesn't recognize what a complete horror she is describing. And she answers all of Cornfed's questions about why showing any signs of competence is very dangerous in the corporate world.

I just look at the partial audit of the FED Bernie Sanders did and that tells me all I need to know about how the corporate world really works. The debt based system with the hidden creditor who showers money where they want and retracts it down the drain where they don't want it to go is going to create a system at the beckon whims of such who have the power to do this.

It's all part of the socialist agenda and time for the ignorant to figure the real reason for real money backed by honest trade so maybe you can have a honest civilization with more honest efficient corporations.
