Taco, Berwick is saying he guesses we have 5 years to go before doolar crashes. maybe one year, most likely 5 or so.

This is good news, no?

No need for panic or rushed exit (end of 2012, October surprise, etc)...

Your thoughts?

I agree with everything Jeff Berwick said except for his economic crash timeline, 5 years from now is way too optimistic, the crash will happen in the next year.

Officially, the US is only in debt 16 trillion dollars but when you add all the debt from government programs like SS, student loans, welfare etc... that number climbs to around 120 trillion. If you spent 1 million dollars a day for 2000 yrs it wouldn't add up to 1 trillion dollars. The value of the dollar will drop so fast fortunes will be wiped out instantly.

I'd guess the dollar will crash in less than a year. With the global system we have now the collapse of the US economy could bring down the entire global food distribution system, leading to apocalyptic starvation, so there really is no safe place to be when TSHTF. You would be better off going to or staying where you have a chance of defending yourself and living off the land. If you are a white guy living in East Asia, the chances of you surviving or even not being killed and eaten would seem to be remote.
