Germany's Demographic Decline

Post by jamesbond »

The German population is declining at a rapid pace. Germany’s fertility rate is 1.45. The average woman is already 29 years old when she has her first child. The childlessness rate for German women on a whole is 30%, the highest rate in the world.

All you have to do is exalt the position of women in society high enough, and everyone knows that they will have less children. They'll be busy trying to get PhDs, instead of getting married at tender ages. By the time they're ready to have children, if ever, they will only have time for one.

Germany's fertility rate for native women is ~1.5 kids/woman, but it's like 2-3 for foreign, mostly middle eastern, women.
