If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. You, sir, have deceived yourself into thinking you're doing good. There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. And of course there is the weeping and gnashing of teeth part, which scorners think doesn't apply to them.

We should not beat ourselves up over our looks. We should not be beat ourselves over the head for not conforming to stupid and arbitrary male looks standards. It is not our fault that in 2010s men are held up to these very ridiculous rules.

Your absolutely right. You shouldn't beat yourself up over your looks. I would put it this way.

Do not conform to the cultures standards placed upon you. One, they have no right to so. Two, it will change every 5 years or so anyway.

Do, however, have your own set standards for your dress. Just because we do not follow cultures standards, means we abandon standards all together.

The only difference is, one is the cultures pressed upon you, and the other is your own. You will be much happier following your own, than someone else's playbook.
