This is a very good post and topic. Because America does not provide for healthy outlet for sex ( and increasingly dating/marriage) many men are becoming "sex tourist" and are going to places such as Thailand, The Philippines, Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica, Columbia, The Netherlands, etc.
While other men are going to these very same spots to find girlfriends and wives in order not to be lonely. Other than pornography (and the Bunny Ranch in Nevada) there is no legal outlet for men in America for unmet sexual needs or desires without them feeling like perverts and creeps. Not to mention the false rape or sexual harassment made by some women against men they don't find attractive when they try to pursue them.

America provides NO OUTLET for sexually starving men. Men have urges, and sex is one of them. But not all men have lovers to satisfy their sexual urges. A normal man cannot just point to any pretty woman he fancies and ask her to have sex with him.

Therefore, some amount of prostitution is necessary in society. Otherwise, sexless men will become frustrated, angry, dissatisfied and invalidated. As a result, they will start doing stupid things such as developing unhealthy addictions (drugs, alcohol, food, video games, etc.). Or they may lose it and going on mass shooting sprees (e.g. as Elliott Rodgers and George Soudini did).

In other countries, societies understand this. That's why in nearly all countries except for America, prostitution is either legal or tolerated. That's because other countries are saner and wiser and understand that prostitution is a "necessary evil". Even Canada and England have legalized prostitution. Canadian cities, for example, have legal brothels (aka "massage parlors") where men can choose from a lineup of girls to have sex with.

You hit the nail on the head with this subject. Research has shown that America is the most puritanical country in the world! Almost EVERY country in the WORLD has legalized p4p but in the US, it's still illegal.

That's one of the biggest BS myths they are selling in western countries, that we are 'sexualy liberated' and every person can easlily get laid. Soory but that's a crock of bull !!! And even if you get laid there's all kind of pittfalls along with it (unwanted pregnancy, blackmailing etc).

You only need to look at Cityvibe's main page to realize P4P is avail in almost all major cities in US/Canada. Backpage is also full of escort and massage parlor postings. They're tolerated to a point, the cops know exactly what's going on in there (all the stupid customers posting on the internet). But if local residents/business call to complain then they have to go give a "warning" or a bust.

The quality and service you receive is highly dependent on the relationship you build with the provider or mama-san over time. If you're the impatient pump and dump type, don't expect calls from the mama-san about new pretty girls arriving.

Yeah, in the Bay Area and also Sac, some places don't even mention a tip, they just go right to it.

I am rather optimistic, so far USA was always able to solve its problems, but it takes a while - such a large country like USA with so many opinions from so many different people is very difficult to manage. You make some good points Winston, but it's important to realize that prostitution does not work for all men. Elliot Rodger's father offered to buy him a prostitute and he declined the offer because he wanted a woman to willingly sleep with him. Prostitution may be good for fun, but it doesn't address man's need to have loving connections with women.
