In the past, there was child labor. Poor little kids would have to stick their hand into machinery in a factory, risking loosing their hands, and if they were hungry at lunch time, and asked for more gruel, they could face the lash.
But now, in the 21st century, we still have another compelling issue that the government and society turn a blind eye, too: women labor. Yes, women in the work force, often compelled to work due to economic necessity.
Look at this quote from the https://www.dol.gov/wb/factsheets/Qf-laborforce-10.htm, from the US Department of Labor:
Oh the tragedy of it, those 72 million women in the US toiling away or looking for work. And look at the cruel terminology used, 'labor force.' No, don't force the women into the work force. Give them the light duty of caring for the home.Of the 123 million women age 16 years and over in the U.S., 72 million, or 58.6 percent, were labor force participants—working or looking for work.
Let us stop this injustice. Sign a petition and throw money.
