I left the love of my life because I thought I could do...

Post by Mr S »

I left the love of my life because I thought I could do better. Now I'm childless and alone at 42

A stupid, foolish woman and sadly far from alone in this attitude. You reap what you sow, and for her the result is loneliness and regret. What I give her credit for, is using the word "childless" as opposed to the euphemistic term "childfree". Childless as in: she hates the situation and honestly admits to it. Usually they would spin it as "I am childfree by choice" and try to pretend it is somehow "empowering" and "feminist", and that she is "more of a woman for it".

Her honesty in admitting she f***ed up, and regrets her past mistakes, is refreshing. Hope this story will serve as a cautionairy tale for women everywhere who think they "can do better". Golden tip, ladies? You can't do better. He loves you, he will give you everything you want. He worships the ground you walk on. But all this isn't good enough for you. You want more. He has to be taller. He has to be richer. Better looking. Higher status. More connections. Wittier. Funnier. Cooler. He has to be everything. But no man ever is. No man ever is perfect.

All your relationships fail. You focus on your career, your social status, financial gain. And then one day it hits you: you are old, your looks have faded and your womb is now a barren wasteland. A cat your only companion, you resign yourself to life as a miserable, spiteful spinster. All this, you did to yourself. All this, you have only yourself to blame for. Because he wasn't good enough.

The only thing she regrets is that plan B didn't work, otherwise having f*ked that guy over would've been inconsequential for her and she wouldn't have written anything about it.
1)Too much of one thing defeats the purpose.
2)Everybody is full of it. What's your hypocrisy?

great thread, great comments.

Let me add -- it's a happy ending. The guy dodged a bullet.

No, not yet. The happy ending will be when she gets downsized from her BS job, runs through all her money and ends up eating catfood in a dilapidated trailer.

That original relationship between Karen and Matthew was made in its purest form. They started dating in school when the most corrupt element of society had not had the most profound influence. Too bad she totally wasted it for some bullshit feminist ideals.

To be honest, Karen was actually kind of old school (read: not that bad). She is in her 40s now, and many things have changed. The sexual marketplace had since become many times violently worse. Karen's plan B is many young women's plan A nowadays. That whole fantasy of 'searching for a better looking, more exciting, richer guy' is what the red pill termed as riding the cock carousel, which Karen actually did with a few guys she mentioned in that article (and possibly more but we don't know because they were not mentioned). Her disappointment is only after realizing that cock carousel experiment did not work out as she had hoped. This madness can only be stopped if most men take the red pill. Have fun with these women, but don't marry them. Send women a very clear signal, of what type and age of women is considered marriageable.

My personal take:
A woman who spends her younger years riding many cocks will never be a good mother.
A woman who somehow manage to skip the cock carousel but still turn down many decent men (average looking stable providers) signals an extremely selfish behaviour, and hence do not have the right mental capacity to be a good mother.

Karen made her bed, so she should lie in it. Though I think her article has a veiled intention of making a last ditched effort to attract a blue pill white knight (beta bucks).

I don't like to read about engaged couples who leave each other for no reason. If a woman says she likes Titanic or The Notebook, I'll point out that both movies are about women who are unfaithful to their fiancees. What kind of love stories are those supposed to be? That's not love. It's unfaithfulness.

What I don't get about this story is that they get engaged and have a party, and live together for how long, five or six years, and she doesn't mention marrying him? Why did she give the milk away for free? If she'd have married him and dumped him like that, it might have been worse. But just living together isn't really a sign of commitment.

I really wouldn't rag on this woman. I didn't read the whole thing, but at least she can admit her mistakes. If she ever runs into a decent guy maybe she'll adapt her behavior to fix past mistakes. This is just the exact woman I think you should not tear down. How many are going to own up in an article like that?

Granted I'm younger than her. She looked okay younger, which is more than enough to attract men in the west. For her age she still looks okay for the west. She could find a divorced guy and be a step-mom. She could find a nice guy and adopt. IDK if she can still have kids or not, but she can still try and steer her life in a different direction. I wish her the best.

I have read a lot of things like this, women are starting to realize they have been duped by who ???? the state which is the bank doing these policies.

I read somewhere back a few years women must be realizing this is no good because according to there survey 84% of women wanted to be stay at home moms.

The trick in the West is to get knocked up early & often.
Failing that and not landing a wallet means having to ... do actual work
THAT is her only regret. After her desired number of kids, Matt would have been kicked out and sleeping in his car.

I have several women in my family who are go getters and are worth a good amount of credit tokens, they made their way with no help from anybody else but they are still shallow however.
