Post by Rocky Top »

Russia joins China in building canal to rival Panama's

Is it time to start buying real estate or go long on Nicaragua?

Sounds like it.

DAMN those Russians play chess well!

Nicaragua is a very open country to expats. Subversive Uncle Frank, once a scarce internet presence, said that San Juan Del Sur was a Libertarian Paradise.

I think I had another thread asking if anywhere else in LA was as easy to waltz into and just stay, as Mexico is. Thinking about it now, I'm pretty sure that the answer to that question is "Nicaragua".

BTW, my mother used to sing me this song. (She apparently learned it in gradeschool in Montana, where on teacher let them sing the jazzy stuff)

Managua, Nicaragua
- words by Albert Gamse, music by Irving Fields
- as recorded in New York November 15, 1946 by Guy Lombardo
and His Royal Canadians

Managua, Nicaragua is a beautiful town
You buy a hacienda for a few pesos down
You give it to the lady you are tryin' to win
But her papa doesn't let you come in

Managua, Nicaragua is a heavenly place
You ask a seorita for a 'leetle' embrace
She answers you, "Caramba! scram-ba bambarito"
In Managua, Nicaragua, that's "No"

I have been to many tropic ports
I might include even Brooklyn
If you're ever feelin' out of sorts
I'd like to recommend a look in...

Managua, Nicaragua, what a wonderful spot
There's coffee and bananas and a temperature hot
So take a trip and on a ship go sailing away
Across the agua to Managua, Nicaragua, ol
Ol, ol
Across the agua to Managua, Nicaragua, ol

----- instrumental break -----

Managua, Nicaragua is a beautiful town
You buy a hosienda for a few pesos down
You give it to the lady you are tryin' to win
But her papa doesn't let you come in

Managua, Nicaragua is a heavenly place
You ask a seorita for a 'leetle' embrace
She answers you, "Caramba! scram-ba bambarito"
In Managua, Nicaragua, that's "No"

Every day is made for play and fun
'Cause every day is fiesta
And they work from twelve o'clock to one
Minus an hour for siesta

Managua, Nicaragua, what a wonderful spot
There's coffee and bananas and a temperature hot
So take a trip and on a ship go sailing away
Across the agua to Managua, Nicaragua, ol
Ol, ol

LOL China and Russia so stupid. Think I read in an article that it was going to be built by South Korean companies. That takes China and Russia from stupid to retarded.

I hope my husband looks this good at 62' He looks good for his age doesn't he.

I read on LiveLeaks, that Putin’s birth certificate states he was born in USA, to American parents, is that true or a hoax? Wikipedia has that he was born to Russian parents.

Look he's such a comunist lol
