Those songs sure bring back the days when I was so young and innocent and had a simple view of the world.

I like the Tears for Fears one that you posted. That is a classic.

I remember that one, "Pure Energy" by Information Society. It used to play on endlessly on the radio.

What about "Self Control" by Laura Branigan? Do you remember that one?

How about Pat Benatar's, "Sex as a weapon." It was a big hit in 1986. Billboard magazine ranks her as the most successful female rock vocalist of all time based on overall record sales and the number of hit songs and their charted positions.

This song, "Shadows of the Night" was also a big hit from the 80's:

Here is another one of her hit's from the 1980's "Love is a battlefield" it hit #5 in the US in 1983.

Jean Michael Jarre is great! Ah, they played him constantly on TV in Ukraine when I was little. I think he had a few concerts in Moscow too.

With me growing up in Europe, I was exposed to all kinds of amazing, wonderful, lovely and good quality music that lacked in the USA as I found out when I came here. During my childhood they played this music on the radio and TV, I still remember old tracks (and most Russian-Ukrainian and European girls remember these). I know, I had a dinner with a black African French model (don't ask me how that happened, probably would never happen in the USA), so she let me browse through her iPhone music. Wow, there was so much old-school European techno and Sting, Madonna (she was big in Europe)... and the girl was from France and I was from Ukraine, but we had so much in common! How many Americans know who is Scooter, Masterboy, Captain Jack, E-Rotic or even Sting? Yeah, right. Some Americans never heard of Madonna! But everyone knows YoungJeezy, YoungShitty and Lil'Poop. No wonder, cheap Rap and r'n'b - that's the only music played on the radio in the USA today, so people just have no choice, but to listen to "lollipop" and other fake gangsta crap.

Anyway, I hope you guys don't mind some European 80's music. I truly love it.

Here is Sandra, very famous to this day. I saw her appearance at Russian Disco 80's on Russian MTV. All kinds of 20-somethings and 30-somethings people cheered to see her. Love the way she looked young. She is originally from Germany. Her songs are so simple and kind... eh... love love love them...

This one is British. Kim Wilde - You Keep Me Hangin' On

This one is Italian. Sabrina Salerno - Boys (was very famous in Europe). I think she is pretty good looking :)

British George Michael - Careless Whisper. One of the best romantic songs I have ever heard in my life! I think it came out in the beginning of 1990's thou. He is openly gay, but I don't care lol. Russian and Ukrainian girls "MELT" when they hear this song and they love to "slow-dance" to songs like this one.

British band Duran Duran... Ah, I just realized how much good British music out there that is about love and emotions and not about money and hoes like American rap today. Great stuff:

Hugely famous (may appear cheezy or gay to Americans) Modern Talking from Germany. Another pop-duo from 80's that is well remembered all over Europe (and played remixed at the clubs or home parties). Yea, house parties in Europe are used for dancing! Boy, I miss those days in Ukraine when we would just get together with other kids from high school, have some wine or champagne and dance all night!
By the way, look at how blacks are used in their videos. Black people are looked upon as equal and normal in Europe, not thugs and criminals. Same in Canada by the way! French blacks are awesome people, at least those that I had met in France.

Remixed new versions from 1990's (they use a lot of American theme):

British Bad Boys Blue... Very famous song:

British Pet Shop Boys... Again, very famous in Eastern Europe. I used to love them when I was in elementary and middle school.

British Erasure - Love To Hate You... still love it, great video

Thank God! Some Swedish music is played in the USA sometimes! Sweden has great music bands.
Ace of Base - Beautiful Life.... OH, I loved it when they played it on the radio in Ukraine... Lyrics, music... energizing...

Ace of Base - Living in Danger

Vacuum - I Breathe... unusual.... probably would never become popular in the USA, but it was played on the radio in Europe for some time:

Roxette! Love them!

I can post more... much more...
