Update: WE ARE BACK ONLINE! The Forum has been RESTORED! See announcement here. If there are any problems or issues, please report them in the announcement thread. Note: Unfortunately I was not able to import the posts made after the crash (on Sept 18) into the restored forum. However, I exported all the posts submitted after the crash into a Word file, so you can download it, find your posts and re-post them. Download the posts here. Thanks for your patience and welcome back everyone!

Since some of you mentioned Mutiny on the Bounty, here is an earlier version of the movie.

The second half of the movie shows some of the mutineers' descendents on Pitcairn Island.
The Birthday Girl with Nicole Kidman is a great movie. This movie is a must see for anybody thinking about bringing back a Russian bride.
Closer to Home about the different desires between a Filipina bride and her American husband.
Thanks for the recommendations. I just finished The Birthday Girl, but haven't been able to find Closer to Home.
My kind of stuff
"Farewell to the King" (on the list) has a nice White-Guy-with-native-girl polygamy theme
Plus I would add...
"Apocalypse Now Redux" has the original "French Plantation Sequence", which helps the movie make more sense, but also has a languid love affair with Martin Sheen and a French hottie under the mosquito net.
These remind me of two movies that were already mentioned earlier in the thread:
"The Quiet American" (Vietnam again, Michael Caine with a young VN hottie under the mosquito net"
Also "Six Days Seven Nights"... newlywed gets separated from bride, gets seduced by hot native girl
"The Art of Travel- Is about a young guy about to get married to a slut but calls it quits and goes on a multi year trip around Central and South America falling in love along the way.
"Bitter/Sweet" - Coffee executive travels to Thailand to find quality coffee plants and ends up falling for a very beautiful Thai girl.
"Outsource"- Business executive is sent to India to train customer service reps and falls for the culture and a cute Indian female.
