Bananarama - 'Cruel Summer' Music Video

Post by jamesbond »

This song came out in 1984 and was a big hit at the time.

"When I think about the idea of getting involved with an American woman, I don't know if I should laugh .............. or vomit!"

"Trying to meet women in America is like trying to decipher Egyptian hieroglyphics."

I had a crush on Keren Woodward when I was younger (one with the dark hair).

She looked better with longer hair though.

Look at these lyrics upside down from the 70's when man had much more power in the dating game..they have no power here now. they were relevant to guys in the 70's who didn't need to pump iron in the gym and still valed to the top 7% of best looking guys here now only
Respectfully I say to thee
I'm aware that you're cheatin'
You always play the field
I'm crazy to think you're all mine
As long as the sun continues to shine
There's a place in my heart for you
That's the bottomline

It's strange how as young men we have crushes. I wonder if there is anything to it.

Here is the song, 'Upside Down' by Diana Ross with the lyrics on the screen. Men had more power in the dating game back then. Now women have all the power in the dating game.
