Expat'ing and Blood Type

[Think Different]

Something to consider before deciding where to permanently put down roots, if you're leaving the US. Depending on your ABO blood type you may have trouble finding a suitable or available blood supply if you're living in a less developed country or a country that has a lack of people who can donate your blood type. Imagine being in a bad accident and needing blood. What would you do?

For example, I'm blood type A-, and that is almost nowhere to be found in Mexico or South America. What are your thoughts?
