But Asia is still paranoid about Covid and is gullible and not good at seeing through bullshit.

Any idea when the pandemic will end in the Philippines? What happened to the carefree Filipino attitude? Why doesn't the government adopt it?
I am not following the development of the different anti-Covid policies but I know that Singapore and Hong Kong are readmitting vaccinated people, either with no quarantine or with a 7-day quarantine, or negative test.

I know Indonesia has reopened borders to foreigners, albeit to vaccinated people only.

Here in the Philippines life is pretty much back to normal, if it wasn't for the persisting face mask worn by all Customer-facing people, from shop assistants to government officers, to security guards.

Other than that, it does look like it's business as usual.

The sad part is that, now that the tide is receding, we can see the devastation this lockdown has made to the economy, with hundreds of once successful small businesses and franchises disappearing. Lots of restaurants and nightlife pots have already closed for good. It might be some time before the business groups behind them will be financially grounded to venture again. A shame...

"Open" to vaccinated people is not any kind of "open" at all. At this point in the endemic, with covid having come and gone throughout much of the world excepting for instance backwaters such as China holding onto the moronic covid zero policy, not to mention the jabs having been proven to be a clear failure at preventing transmission, to say nothing of the substantial risks associated with taking them (information about which institutions such as the CDC withheld from the public) and Omicron itself being a better vaccine than any dubious experiments cranked out by the pharmaceutical-industrial complex (Bill Gates all but said as much!), you have to consider anyone still implementing any form of vaccine passports for covid-19 to be blatantly and nakedly corrupt.

Do not give such people your tourist bucks. Even if you're one who is not as afraid of the jab as you maybe ought to be. If you do that then you are enabling them. You are telling the tyrants that what they're doing is not that bad. You are telling them that you will tolerate their tyranny.

Go instead to where the covid tyranny isn't. Such as to Mexico where I am. Mexico hasn't got any covid restrictions for entry into the country whatsoever. Or possibly Vietnam where I hope to go next (however they still ask for the silly pcr test).

Not Philippines. Not Indonesia. Not Thailand or Cambodia either. The latter two have thinly veiled their corruption with absurdly expensive "quarantine hotels" for the unvaxxed.

How long was the forum down? I got really sick the last few days so I was too weak to do much online. I think it may be Covid, because I've never had a flu this nasty and persistent before. It doesn't seem to want to go away. Every time it seems like it's tapering off, it comes back again and produces fevers at night. Usually I recover from a flu in one day, so this must be something nasty, like Covid. Just prior to getting it, we went to a buffet with lots of people there in a restaurant where the tables were all close together and not spread apart like the buffets in the casino are. I could have gotten it from there.

I've ordered a Covid test kit from Walmart to confirm if I have it or not. I wouldn't say it's life threatening, but it's awfully persistent and painful. It causes a lot of aches and pains on my body (torso area in general) so that I have a hard time moving around in bed because if I try to move it will trigger aches and pains, which are randomly spread out. I've never seen a fever cause random aches and pains like that, which shift from one part of your body to another. My pains are mostly in the stomach area though, maybe because that's where I'm most vulnerable.

I am sorry to hear that, @Winston. I assume you never took any jab. You trusted your immune system and your immune system is doing a great job fighting Covid, or whatever micro-organism is attacking your body.

As for the forum being down, it's nothing new. I think it's time for you to upgrade the database server.

Hi PD, what's new? Yeah I never took the jab. But those who took it told me they never got Covid, so maybe the jab has some use after all?

How long did you suffer when you got Covid? Didn't it last a week or so? It seems very relentless and doesn't wanna quit. I never seen a flu like that before. Did it also cause body aches and pains all over your stomach and shoulders?

Depends maybe what kind of vaccine is used and how many times. It seems the protection of this vaccination expires quickly...
We in Japan in general use only Pfizer and Moderna.

My experience so far:

I and wife had 4 x covid-vaccination (2x Pfizer, 2 x Moderna) and never got any covid-19 symptoms up to now.
We both are additionally vaccinated against pneumonia and seasonal flu.

-----

The brother of my wife had 4 x covid-19-vaccination (4 x moderna) - Living in Tokyo - he is still active and meets many customers almost every day, but his wife and his daughter refused covid-19 vaccination (for what do we need that? - we are not going out so many times etc.)

Result:
Wife and daughter got covid-19 (confirmed by RT-PCR Test in hospital) and it was very painful for both of them for about 10 days. No fever, but all bones hurting, coughing like a heavy bronchitis and not feeling well at all)

The brother of my wife, despite sharing the same rooms with wife and daughter:

Nothing, but as he was driving his wife and daughter to the hospital, he was also tested - Surprise, he was also positive - however he never noticed anything, he was not even aware that he might be also infected. Now again all of them tested negative.

-----

My friend in Europe had 3 x covid-19 shots, he is already 73, and overweight. One morning heavy bronchitis and serious pain in all bones, but no fever - could barely stand up.

Went to hospital for testing - covid-19 positive. However after less than 48 hours, all symptoms quickly disappeared, almost back to normal.
Now already got a date for 4th vaccination.

-----

My daughter and husband - 4 x vaccinated (Moderna) - no covid-19 symptoms so far - tested also negative, but both of their small children 2 and 5 years old and therefore not vaccinated because of age got covid-19 and are still suffering - they are still at home with my daughter and not healthy since more than 2 weeks already. - My daughter up to now just nothing.

-----

Up to everybody what they decide. In Japan we do not care about if you are vaccinated or not. It's totally up to you.

I also got Covid, last January. It was uneventful, I only had a mild cough for maybe a week and mild fever for the first 2 days. I was honestly looking forward to getting it, so I could get a EU "Covid recovery" certificate which lasted 6 months and, in the end, never had a chance to use, as it wasn't recognised here in the Philippines.

I could say much, a lot, about the insanity that engulfed most world countries in the past 3 years. I only hope Europe and especially Italy, won't pick up Covid hysteria again, perhaps as a way to guarantee the next few tens of billions in profit for the big pharma involved alongside, of course, tens of millions of dollars of kickbacks to all EU and national politicians and "consultants" who will make it happen.

You can get a Covid recover certificate @publicduende? How? Would it be like a vaccine card and let you enter countries like the Philippines that don't allow unvaccinated to enter? When will the PH start allowing the unvaxxed to enter?

Btw my immune system is very good, yet I've been suffering for almost a week now. I've never seen a flu this bad and persistent. It takes about 1 or 2 weeks to recover usually right? Even with my strong immune system it seems to be taking a long time.
