Should I keep the Photo Collage on this site?

Should the photo collage be removed to attract "decent men" as the OP in this thread says?

viewtopic.php?t=7567

Isn't the photo collage the main inspirational proof of this site that proves our claims? Or does it repel many decent guys who would otherwise have joined our forum?

Will getting rid of it increase traffic and retention rates or decrease it?

What do you think?

If I remove it and all my pics from this site and my real name, perhaps I can become anonymous again, like other expats? lol

No, do not get rid of the photo collage, it's one of the attractions for the site. Men want VISUAL proof that hot women are available in foreign countries and those photos give visual proof of that.

NO! Don't remove them, please. It would eliminate the purpose and proof of your argument that the girls in North America suck. I don't know why seeing pictures of good looking (and wholesome...i.e. not gold-digger) girls would make your site seem bad.

If you changed it to all hookers and porno, then yes, that would be bad and you'd lose your audience. As it is now, you're providing a unique service to all the frustrated men, who feel like giving up hope. Plus, by changing it to cheap hookers, you'd just play into the hands of your enemies, who want to shut you down.

Just take the high road and keep it honest and clean, and you'll be fine.

Most of the collage photos are clean. A few show me kissing them. But hey, isn't that rated PG?

I guess to some, it gives the impression of a sex tourist or playboy. I can understand that. But why not see it as just a guy who likes to meet girls? There's nothing wrong with meeting lots of girls right?

Another question:

What about the photos at the top header of the home page? Should I just show pics of girls and scenery, so that this site doesn't look like it's all about me?

I wonder how many people are repelled when they see the home page header photos, cause they think I'm a playboy, and leave the site without reading on?

So I was wondering, maybe it's better to remove my photos from the home page header, and leave the photo collage the way it is as an inspiration and example of my claims?

Do the photos of me and girls on the home page around the header accomplish anything? Or does it look kind of narcissistic?

Maybe it's better to just show pics of women and scenery?

What do you all think?

No, I would keep the photo collage. Yes, it is some proof and it's something which is unique to this site.

It's not anything explicit, so it's nothing to worry about. It's just pictures of you having fun, which most guys will find understandable and even inspiring.

You're not running a strict religious website. If some guys are just so offended by those very tame pics, then I doubt they'd really fit in in the forum here and they might as well find some religious singles site instead.

In fact, such puritanism is in many ways very American. In electronics stores here in Hungary, there are bins of hardcore porn next to the regular DVDs. Nobody gives a damn. Nobody cares. Europeans don't get into crazy debates over every celebrity's "wardrobe malfunction" or "nipple slip" the way Americans do.

People aren't scared of sex in Europe: it's just part of life; it happens.

Very interesting observations, I have heard other guys who have grown up in Europe say the exact same thing. In America, sex is suppressed. I have often wondered why abortion in the US is legal but prostitution is illegal! It does seem as if Americans are afraid of sex for some reason. I think the religious overtones in the US may have something to do with it.

Back in the 40's and 50's it was worse. My father told me when he was growing up, his parents told him he would burn in hell if he masterbated! They also said, if he had premarital sex, that was such a horrible sin that Jesus would send him to hell forever! Seriously, I am not kidding! What a horrible thing to say to your kids, that you will burn in hell if you masterbate or have premarital sex!

At least things aren't as bad now as they were years ago (thanks to the sexual revolution I guess). At least parents aren't telling their kids anymore that will burn in hell if they masterbate!

Men are visually oriented, so the photo collage is a boon to the site, especially since they are not smutty either. We want decent, wholesome, BEAUTIFUL feminine women.

Just for funsies though, I would suggest a collage comparison. Show a series of photos of a typical foreign women, and then under it compare and contrast photos of American women. I would suggest surfing People of Walmart for some good examples.

I don't know.... Then maybe some of those people might try to sue Winston if they found out how their pictures were being used. In the US, people will sue for any reason whatsoever.

Two questions for everyone.

1. What do women think when they see my Photo Collage? Suppose I meet a new female acquaintance for instance, and they find my site and see the Collage. What will they think of me? Does it make me look like an Alpha Male to them? Or like a guy who takes advantage of women in poor countries? Or like a sicko? What does the typical female mentality think when they see a Photo Collage like that? Any idea?

2. Now that I have some photos with girls in Taiwan, should I add a section for Taiwan in the Photo Collage, even though I don't particularly recommend it for dating (unless you're a white guy maybe) or social connection? What do you think? Would it be giving false hope to people? I have some photos of Taiwanese girls from 2004 too that I can add to it. None of them are that hot though. They just look ok. Would it be a good idea to add a Taiwan section to the Collage, or just keep it focused on Russia and the Philippines? What do you think?

1. Didn't think anything of it when I first joined, which explains why I entered here thinking I was on just another regular expat forum. I saw it as American guy was unhappy, moved abroad, met lots of nice girls. Nothing more.

I didn't think you was an Alpha male, that you was taking advantage and certainly not a sicko. You looked like a regular guy leading a happy life travelling the world. Saying those girls were being taking advantage of would be really patronising to them and I don't think anyone would think that. You didn't have a gun to their head. Likewise, they weren't 5 years old- it's impossible for you come across as a sicko just for enjoying the company of the opposite sex.

It sounds like a crazy question to me- has anyone actually expressed these views or are you overanalysing everything?

2. If you don't rate Taiwan don't promote it.

Alpha male? They won't be able to get their hands off you after seeing pictures like this:

Well some hateful American women who see this site and that collage would say that I was "exploiting" poor women or taking advantage of them. Feminized guys have said that too. If you saw what the PlentyofFish forum crowd said about this site that I posted in another thread...

But maybe you are too sweet and innocent and it's better you don't about people like that.

Haha :D I wouldn't say I'm particularly 'sweet and innocent', just normal.

I think it's absolutely crazy that people would say you are exploiting women. Do they not accept these women have their own minds, lives and free will? It might be just another case of Americans being prone to thinking they are the only nation of strong, free, civilised people and the rest of the world is a charity case that needs to be taught/helped.

Patronising.
