Wow check this out. Here is another interesting way to go abroad, by swapping your home or apartment with someone else overseas, or in another state, temporarily as a mutual exchange. Check it out here:

There's a fee to join. But of course, you have to have a house or apartment to list for the exchange. What a great idea! Would save a lot of money on accommodation expenses too! I should have thought of this before. What a great website business idea.

Thanks for the post. Swapping homes is a good idea. But, you have to do your homework first with the location of the house you are going to swap with.

Hey this Home Exchange program is not bad. I've been looking at it. Since my parents have a house in Las Vegas, I could list it in the Home Exchange database and try to get some nice properties in exchange! Wow. For instance, if you want to go to Switzerland, check out the nice properties available there for swap.

Or Florida:

Or Thailand:

There are some really nice beachfront properties there. Wow. But I wonder if you have to have an equal value property to exchange. Or maybe if your property is less valuable, you can let them stay there longer? I don't know. I'm still researching the site.

Here is how the program works if any of you are interested:
