How not to do a tax protest

After reading through the guy's 6-7 page rant, my conclusion is, dude, if you don't want to pay income tax, just say so on page 1, paragraph 1.

Instead of bitching over IRS Section 1706 and trying to do his own taxes, he could've employed a better accountant from day 1 to write-off as much of his expenses as business expense, since he owned his own company. Alternatively, he could've read IRS publication 54 and excluded up to $91,400/year of his income from US income tax.

The bottom line is that tax revolts like Howard Jarvis worked because home owners are a large % of the population, versus independent software engineers are not. So he bumped his head against a brick wall for years and nobody cared.

He could have worked in Saudi Arabia and not paid taxes. People who are in/from Saudi Arabia, though, somehow find other reasons to fly airplanes into US buildings, but taxes is not one of them.
A brain is a terrible thing to wash!
