2024 Online Ad Revenue Goal

When I came back to America to be with my family I had a lot of downtime. I had an idea for a site and started working on it in mid 2022. That site now has 150k visitors/month. Just last month I started putting ads on it from online ad companies to generate revenue. I started with one company and was getting $5/day. Now I switched to another and I'm getting $8/day.

My goal in 2024 is to build as many sites possible to generate a total of $600/month in ad revenue. $600 is not a lot of money in the West but it goes very far in SE Asia.

Looking back I should have done this a lot earlier, but no one seems to think they'll be successful at anything until they try.

Congratulations. 150,000 visitors per month is quite a lot.

$600 a month, for a site that has 150K unique visitors a day and looks as good as it does (well done!), don't sound a lot.

Are you sure you can't monetize it in other ways?

My site is averaging $6/day at this point. Not $600/month.

I've reached out to some companies to partner with in terms of becoming an affiliate. I just got an email from someone last week asking how much it would cost to put a guest article or link to his site on my site.

I'm not going into the details of what type of site it is. All the people I watch on Youtube are talking about how they make $10K/month and I think I heard Adam Enfroy say on one of his videos that he made $1 million last year. I call bullshit on their claims.

I basically just want to churn out "clones" of this site that will make the same amount of ad revenue.

1 site = $200/month.

5 sites = $200/month * 5 = $1k/month

Bottom line if when I first started out in this industry, I took on an entrepreneurial mindset instead of an employee mindset I would have been much better off by now.

Best of luck to you. Too bad like you said, you didn't have the entrepreneurial mindset eariler.

I know. I mean, even when your target is reached, $600/month for an ecommerce site targeting teenagers is less than what I would have expected. Then again, from some recent stuff I read/viewed, it looks like Google's ad revenue model is plummeting, so you guys get less and less.

I am not an expert but I think asking for paid contents to be published or syndicated on your site would be a good way to boost revenues. Otherwise, sorry for the obvious question, don't you already get a commission on every item bought?

That is always the case. It's something everyone who transitions from being an employee to being an entrepreneur has to suffer. Growing pains.

I just skimmed the page. Isn't there something you could sell. You set up a web page, stripe, a video, or a catchy text ad with a picture and sell a discounted card for Roblox or whatever
online game hits the teen segment these days on your page? If these teens are 16+ and have a part-time job, they might go for it. If you keep getting a referral fee, you might make some money.
