More than 70% of the population only knows of tattoos, rock roll, guns, liquor, bars, TV shows, movies, cars, football, and thousands of concepts irrelevant, useless, unnecessary.

You said most ignorant, thus, it's a relative expression. Most ignorant out of all other nations? Just developed nations? Just western nations?

American has plenty of faults and I've definitely ripped on them in the past, but when you find the need to constantly bemoan and highlight these faults [real and perceived], it's pretty obvious your own insecurities are at the heart of it all, and you need to rationalize your own short-comings and failures here.

All you really need to say it that the US isn't for everyone, and move on with your life, emphasizing the positive aspects of other places.

The post was probably by a West European and is a typical gripe by such people. Again, it is a culture shock between a practical specialist educational US culture and a more generalist Euro culture. I do agree that Americans need to become more generalist but Americans are not the most ignorant in the world.
