What are Your Mantras to Get You Through Anxiety, Panic, Stress, Despair and/or Impending Doom?
Title says it all. Please, Dopers, share your words of wisdom.

1. Meditation.
2. Detachment. Learn to let go of disappointments, anger, resentment, fear and anxiety.
3. Change your perspective. See this reality as a matrix and computer simulation and everything as illusory anyway. Watch the Matrix movie trilogy if it helps. lol. Thus nothing really matters since this is just a game. Or a "ride" as the comedian Bill Hicks put it when he said "life is just a ride like at an amusement park". Or that life is just a "dream" like Eastern religions put it.
4. Also listen to the soothing music pieces in the thread below. Music is very therapeutic and healing too.

I use to have panic attacks, I would just try to ride them out by deep breathing, and thinking things like 'it's going to be OK'. Elizabeth Wurtzel (the author of Prozac Nation) likened her depression to a "black wave", and I've often thought of panic attacks and other intense emotional episodes (like crying spells) as riding a black wave until it dissipates.
