Why is this not true what I said, yes, you have immigrants everywhere, but still, if you are a native Hungarian, you will find most of them in Hungary, if you are a native Finn, you will find your countrymen in Finland, if you are originally from Portugal, still the huge majority in Europe who are native Portuguese, you will meet in Portugal etc.

This is not like in USA, where in every federal state all people are mixed up coming from everywhere, from any nationality.

EU is still an area of countries, so you consider yourself as Italian, German, Romanian etc. - USA are federal states, where you consider yourself as an US citizen, wherever you go within USA... there are no different passports or national languages etc... or sometimes even different currencies like in Sweden or UK.
