Do women give you their number to get rid of you?

They give you the number and its either wrong number or they don't answer your calls


It happened to me many times in Anglosphere and LatAm(brazil and colombia), never happened in SEAsia though


Can't they simply say 'No, not interested or have bf'


But then I talked to some women in australia and they complain how guys ask for their number but never call them, Wonder what sort of guys they give number to
