The Manila Theme Song (Filipino Vibe)

Post by mguy »

Walking around Manila you are bound to hear this song. When I first heard this, I thought Manila was stuck in the 90s. But then I kept on hearing it jeepneys, mall kiosks, hospitals, and with friends. Radio loves it for a reason. At first I didn't pay attention but then I started realizing the song has a sort of connection to Filipinos. It shows the vibe. I think it exemplifies the vibe (which I talk about in Colombia). I thought I share this as if you can connect to the song then you might connect with the vibe.

Filipinos/as love oldies, cheesy pop songs they can sing along and they diligently follow tastes that are at least one decade behind ours (US/UK).
